Explore Page

Sift's explore page provides an easy way for users to plot and view their data, whether the intention is to Sift through data, export graphs, or validate their data. The Explore Page has four main sections:

(1) General Buttons. (2) Groups and Workspaces Widgets. (3) Plot Controls. (4) Plot Viewer.

• Query Builder: Opens the Query Builder Dialog
• ND Query Builder: Opens the ND Query Builder Dialog
• Register Curves: Opens the Curve Registration Dialog
• Refresh Plot: Refreshes the active plot with any newly selected data and styles.

The group and workspace widget displays all grouped queries and their associated workspaces, this is used to select the query groups to be displayed in the plot section.

The plot controls offer plotting options for any graphs displayed, some of these options differ depending on the type of plot selected.

The plot viewer displays all generated plots, allowing to switch between multiple plots and interact with them.

• Zoom: Scrolling up or down on the mouse wheel will zoom in or out on the plot the cursor is over (zoom can be reset through the context menu or the Rescale Graph button on the toolbar).
• Isolating Trace: Left clicking on a trace will isolate it, increasing the transparency of all other traces, several interactions can be done with a selected trace through the context menu or the Exclusion Options button on the toolbar.

Edit the number of plots shown in the Graph Layout section.

• Graph Rows: Number of graph rows.
• Graph Columns: Number of graph columns.

Right clicking on a plot will pull up the context menu.

• Exclude
  • Exclude Trace (raw data): Excludes the selected trace.
  • Show Excluded Data: Displays any data that has been excluded.
  • Hide Excluded Data: Hide any data that has been excluded.
  • Re-Include All Data: Re-Include all data that has been excluded.
• Axis
  • X-Axis Edit: Pulls up a dialog used for editing the plot's X Axis Title, auto scale, and max/min, as described in the X Axis Options.
  • Y-Axis Edit: Pulls up a dialog used for editing the plot's Y Axis Title, auto scale, and max/min, as described in the Y Axis Options.
  • Font: Pulls up the Select Font Dialog for the axis title.
• Label Font: Pulls up the Select Font Dialog for the label.
• Legend: Pulls up the Legend Dialog used to set the legend visibility and location.
• Visible Graphs
  • Show All Graphs: If multiple plots have been generated but only one is shown this will display all other graphs.
  • Only Show This Graph: Will display only the selected graph.
• Export Graph
  • as Image: Pulls up the Export Graph Dialog for the selected plot.
  • as Text: Pulls up file explorer dialog, allowing user to select file type, name, and path.
• Make Graph Active: Sets the clicked graph as the active graph.
• Automatic Re-scale: Resets the zoom of the selected graph.
• Highlight All Data: If one trace is highlighted, this will reset the transparency of all other traces and deselect the currently selected trace.
• Reset Graph: Resets the selected plot to its default state.
• Show Animation: Pulls up the Animation Dialog.
• Open File:If only one C3D is selected this will open it.
